Spring in Utah???

So I'm beginning to think that Spring in Utah does not exist. We woke up this morning and our yard and cars were covered with about 4-5 inches of new snow. I'm so sick of it, is it ever going to end? I would love to have the kids parties at the park, but I'm just not sure if the snow will even be over by then. Can you tell that I'm so ready to move? We are still waiting to hear when and where we are going. Happy Monday!

My kids birthdays are coming up.

I can't believe that my baby is going to be 4 and my big boy is going to be 6. Man how time flies, and they are growing up too fast. They are at perfect ages right now and are so much fun, I wish they could stay at this age forever. Katie has started a new thing with me and I love it. Everyday I have to fix here hair like her favorite movie character of the day. (I'm going to take pictures of the different hairstyles, and post them soon!) It started off at Christmas with Cindy Loo Ho (from the Grinch, I have to do three loopy ponytails with one on top with a bow, of course), Annie is her new favorite (curls, curls, and more curls!), Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Ariel (hair has to be down, with a flower hair bow and glitter) and princess Laya from Star wars. It's some fun memories I'm making with her, and I'm glad she lets me play with here hair, everyday.

Rooster has to ride his bike everyday! He is so obsessed with it. The weather was beautiful (until the snow storm today) and we had to go to the park and let him ride, he is so awesome. The last two years we had to get him a new bike for his birthday, because he wears them out and out grows them, and I think it's going to be a new one this year, too.

Lets see, nothing really exciting going on with me, except I'm tanning and loving it. It makes me feel so much better, about me. I've lost 5 lbs in a week, and I've been working out or walking everyday. Me and my sister Leslie are trying to motivate each other to workout. Whoever works out 20 days out of the month has to send the champ $50 to buy a new pair of jeans. So far I think I'm winning, and I hope I'll be down a jean size when I get to buy my new pair.

We are still waiting on our orders to tell us when and where we are moving. It's going to be later then we thought, but that's okay, because I'd like Rooster to be able to finish school here and go on all his fun field trips. Plus, Katie has a May dance recital, and we can't wait to watch our "dancing queen."

Hope everyone is enjoying spring!

Max with the kids

Max loves to go camping with us! And, he loves the kids so much, if he's not in the bed with them, he's laying in between them. I'm so glad we got him. He's such a great guard dog.

Katie's Chuck E Cheese visit

So Rooster had a birthday party to go to, last weekend, and Katie wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese. She thought it was so cool that it was just her by herself. She was so excited, she couldn't stop cheesing. She is getting so big!!!

Swimming in the Hotel

So we tried to go camping and fishing a couple weeks ago and it was just too freezing, and then a snow storm came, so we decided to go to a hotel. The kids loved it because they got to go swimming. They are getting so big!

Our new tattoo's

So me and Donny decided to get new tattoo's. We are so spontaneous! We got a babysitter, and said lets do it!!! Mine is of 4 stars and some swirls. I have 2 purple stars, one for me, and one for Katie Sue, then there is 2 black stars, one for Donny and one for Rooster. Donny got a nautical star on his elbow. It's the sexiest tattoo, ever! We love them!

Fishing in Freezing Utah!

We love to go fishing as a family, but we haven't had any luck here in Utah! I almost had a 2ft. rainbow trout hooked, but he got away. We want the kids to see one so bad. So, we did some research online and found some ponds that are stocked for kids 14 years old and under, so we made the hour drive and guess what, the water was frozen. There was a small opening in the water and we decided we were going to try it. Imagine this.....Climbing up the snow to sit on a blank in the snow, to go ice fishing with a 3 and 5 year old. I was completely miserable. Donny tried for about 30 minutes to catch something, but he finally gave up after only a couple nibbles. So the kids say they hate fishing now, and I'm sure they don't even believe us that there's really fish in there. We are going to keep trying, we have to catch a fish someday, right?
