John Mayer sighting

Yesterday we were at Stater Bros getting groceries in 29 palms, and we saw John Mayer in the check out right beside us!!!!! It was cool! I said hey Donny look in the line beside us and he did a double take, and said hey, that's John Mayer. LA is only 2 hours away, so maybe he was here with family. I wish I would of had my camera, but it was at home, of course.

My surprise 30th birthday party from my hubby

Me and the girls
Me and Kelli

Me and Erica

Me and Gretchen

Me and Megan

Donny planned a surprise party for me and my girlfriends. It was a lot of fun, we watched chick flicks all night and had some good drinks. We made some great memories together, it was a blast!!! Can't wait to party with these girls at the Marine Ball on Thursday!

Happy Birthday Marines!

Katie Dance class and Rooster at the skate park

Katie is taking ballet and jazz class every Tuesday, and loves every minute of it! She looks forward to it every week. Katie is having so much fun this year, and she has the BEST teacher ever, she's so wonderful with them. Katie has her first dance recital on December 6th, and it's going to be sooooo cute. I wish my family lived closer so they could see her.

Rooster also loves Tuesdays, because Katie's dance class is right beside the skate park. He takes his scooter all over it. He's getting really good, and starting to do some big drop ins (I'm learning the cool lingo, too!) I can't believe some of the stunts that boy can do already.

September Disney land and California Adventure Trip

So I'm behind on posting again, I've got a bunch to do and alot of pictures to download. The first is of our second trip to Disneyland this summer. We had park hopper tickets that didn't expire, so we decided to go back and use them. It was perfect, September is definitely the time to go. We had front row seats to every show and no wait in any of the lines. The kids were so excited about going back and Katie did great on all the rides this time. We had a great family time, and can't wait to go back next summer!

My 30th birthday SURPRISE from Donny!

So I was riding in the car with Donny today, and he said he has something to tell me, but he's not sure if he should, because he doesn't want to ruin the surprise. So of course I start begging, because I hear the word "surprise." After 10-15 minutes of begging, he finally tells me that all of my girlfriends are coming over Saturday to have an all night girls night. He's been planning this for a couple of weeks. I am so excited, we are going to do wood painting, jello shots, games, and chick flicks all night long!!!!!! I'm glad he told me so I could plan some drinks and fun games, plus my house will be cleaned and I wont be in my pj's when they show up...hehe. He's such a sweetie to try and surprise me with this. I love surprises and I think he did a good job of keeping it a secret. Wish all of my friends and sisters could be with me. Happy birthday to me:)

GO ME!!!!

So I am busting my ass to get into shape, and I've been working out faithfully for three weeks. Yesterday I did Turbo Jam sculpting video (you need to try it, it's awesome!) with my friend Rebekah for 45 minutes, then rode my bike for two miles to pick up Rooster from school (the temp was 102) , and then went hiking to an oasis up two mountains for three miles. Anyways, I'm going to be posting before and after photos soon. I'm really excited about getting into shape. Wish me luck!!!!

"Quoting" from Katie, again.

Last night we had birthday cake and ice cream for Donny's birthday, and of course Katie ate every drop (she's a junk food junkie), then she brought me her bowl and said "look mom I ate my supper really good, can I have a popsicle now?" It was so funny! I guess since she ate her dessert she thought she need to be treated with a second one. That girl says the funniest things!

First Day of School

I can't believe that my big boy is going to all day school this year. He was so excited to start school this year, and meet his new teacher and friends. The first day I picked him up he said school was way too long and he missed me so much. It was so sweet! I love my big boy!

As soon as we dropped him off I took Katie to her new hourly daycare program so she could feel like she was going to school, too. I am homeschooling her again this year, because all preschools here are booked up (she's on two waiting list). She loves going to the library on base and doing school with me. I am such a lucky mama and I miss my big boy during the day!!!

Memory of me

My friend Abby posted this on her blog, so I thought I would give it a try.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Flooding in the desert

So living here in the desert we rarely get rain, so when a flash flood comes, we have some fun. The kids loved playing in the rain, and so did the dogs. Our backyard was flooded, our neighbor said that was the worse rain they had here in 20 years. It was alot of rain, but it did cool us off for a couple of days.

Disneyland August 11th, 2008

So my hubby surprised me and the kids a trip to Disneyland for our 8th wedding anniversary. We already had the tickets to Disney "World", and we called and they accepted them at Disneyland, so he asked off work and told me we were going for our anniversary. We didn't tell the kids where we were going, because we wanted to surprise them. It's only 2 hours away from our house, but of course they asked every 2 seconds "are we there yet?" We made them lay down and close their eyes, because we left so early in the morning we didn't want them to be too tired during the day. Anyways, we pull into the Disneyland parking lot and there's not even one sign, picture or anything with Disney on it. Katie saw that the parking lot employee had Disney wrote on his shirt, and said he has Disney on his shirt so we must be at Disney, it was funny, but didn't go how we had planned. Then the first ride we go on (Mr. Toads wild ride) scares Katie to death, so she doesn't want to go on anything unless it's outside. The beginning of the day sucked, the stroller broke on us, Katie was freaking, and we were pissed. We finally sat down had some lunch and said okay....lets start over and have a better day. We did, Katie was happy, we rented strollers and we stayed until they closed. It was a great trip, and I'm so excited we live so close so we can go back again soon.

"Quoting" from Katie

So I wanted to share what Katie said to me tonight. Lately, she's been saying "Mom your not the boss of me" (usually it's funny, but when she's in trouble its not). Well, we were talking and I said see Katie I am the boss of you, and I will be until your 18, and Katie said "MOM......I'll be dead when I'm 18. It was soooo funny, because she was so serious. Then I told her, Katie, your Uncle Sam is 18 and he's not dead. She said, "Oh yeah people with old wrinkled faces they die".

Kids say the darnest things!!!

Our computer is dead

So my sweet hubby brought home his computer from work, because I'm having withdrawls from the internet. Just wanted to say I'm alive, and I've got a ton of new pictures to post as soon as we get our computer up and running again. Hope everyone has a great week, and I'm going tomorrow to get my new Stephanie Meyers b0ok, and I can't wait.

Tears of Joy

I had to post these pictures of my Katie Sue, they are priceless! Katie is so into Hannah Montana, and we don't really know why she loves her so much, because she never even saw the show until my Mom bought it for her when she was here visiting. She already had a High School Musical dog tag that we got her, but for her birthday she asked for the Hannah Montana one, and when she opened it up, she had tears of joy. This is my favorite picture of her, and I just had to share the story. I love her so much, she is such a special little girl.

First visitors to our new house

So I've been begging my mom to come out and visit us, because the grand kids were having withdrawls from her. (We miss her so much!) I was also talking to my friend Tracie who grew up with me and goes to the same church as my mom, so they decided to come out together. My mom hates to fly, and it was Tracie's first time flying, so it worked out great. I got to go pick them up in Vegas, and my sweet hubby watched the kids for the night so I could have a "girls" trip. We did alot of fun sightseeing, and took some great pictures. It was alot of fun, but it was sooo hot.

We planned alot of fun stuff to do while they were here, we grilled out almost everyday and really enjoyed hanging out with each other.

My mom watched the kids for the weekend, so Donny could go out with us and we went back to some casinos only 2 hours from us, and had a blast. Tracie won $170 dollars, it was awesome! Then we got up the next day and drove four hours to Hollywood. It wasn't as glamorous as they make it look on TV, but it was cool to see the stars on the blvd, and see the Hollywood sign. The next day was their last full day here and me and Tracie got to scrapbook together all the cool pictures we took. I miss them so much, and can't wait to see them again!

I'm finally back!!!

So I haven't posted in about three months, so I have alot of catching up to do, and a ton of pictures to download. We are all settled in here in 29 palms, and loving it! We are smack dab in the desert, but it's sunny and beautiful everyday. The kids are loving all the new friends we are making here, and we love being surrounded by military families, again. Rooster can't wait to start first grade and Katie is so ready for preschool. I am so excited about our new life here, and look forward to the many memories we are going to make.

The pictures are just random, but I wanted to get them posted.
